The senior Indian cricket team head coach Rahul Dravid and his coaching team are set to be rested for the upcoming T20I series against Ireland next month, according to a report by Cricibuzz.
BCCI are set to send a second-string Indian side to tour Ireland in August. Several senior cricketers are set to be rested for the tour. The senior players will be joined by head coach Rahul Dravid, batting coach Vikram Rathour and bowling coach Paras Mhambrey.

The decision has been taken to manage the workload of the senior players and the coaches ahead of the Asian Cup and the 2023 ODI World Cup which will be held in India.

In Rahul Dravid and his team's absence, his former teammate and BCCI's head of cricket VVS Laxman is all set to take charge of the Indian team as an interim head coach.
Laxman will be accompanied by either Sitanshu Kotak or Hrishikesh Kanitkar as batting coach and Troy Cooley and Sairaj Bahutule as bowling coach.

India are set to play three T20I matches against Ireland on August 18, August 20 and August 23.
