Virat Kohli had a great evening individually against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in his most recent game as the RCB superstar smashed 113 runs off just 72 balls but RCB eventually lost the game with RR chasing down their target of 183 runs comfortably.

The Bengaluru side have been struggling massively this season, with Virat being the only player with consistent performance every game. Virat has so far scored 316 runs in five matches in this year’s IPL and is the current holder of the Orange cap.

Even after heroics, RCB have won just one out of their five games and are set to face the Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede stadium in their upcoming game.

Does Virat Kohli struggle against left-arm spinners?

Although Kohli has always been one of the top players of spin, he has had his struggles since 2021. Let us take a look at some of the star batter's worst strike rates in IPL history.

Bowler S.R Runs Balls
Ravindra Jadeja 104.34 144 138
Morne Morkel 106.45 66 62
Sunil Narine 107.62 127 118
Krunal Pandya 109.34 117 107
Axar Patel 109.85 78 71

Kohli has been struggling against left-arm orthodox spinners on the International stage as well as the Indian superstar has struggled greatly against the likes of Keshav Maharaj, Mitchell Santner, Shakib Al Hassan and Ashton Agar and Dunith Wellagle.

With Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) travelling to the Wankhede on Thursday, it won’t be a surprise if we see a left-arm spinner opening the proceedings for the Mumbai Indians against the opening pair of Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli.
