Pakistan cricket legend and former international Shoaib Akhtar feels that Virat Kohli has the capability of breaking Sachin Tendulkar's record of scoring the most number of international centuries (100).
Tendulkar, in 2013, became the only batsman in the world to score 100 centuries across all formats and for the past 10 years, the record has remained intact.

The second best was former Australian captain Ricky Pointing, who had 71 centuries to his name, before Virat Kohli came and went past Ponting's tally.
Kohli currently has 96 international centuries to his name which includes 29 in Test matches, 46 in ODIs and one in T20Is.

What did Shoaib Akhtar say about Virat Kohli?
Now Akhtar shared his opinion on the Indian batter and he advised him to reduce the number of 50 over matches after the upcoming ODI World Cup and focus more on Test matches.
He also wants Kohli to play for at least six more years to try and break Tendulkar's record of 100 hundreds in international cricket which according to Akhtar only Kohli can.
Speaking to Rev Sportz, Akhtar said,
I don’t think he should play more 50-over matches after this World Cup. Also, if you see him in T20s, it takes a lot out of him. I think he should play for at least six more years and break the 100 hundreds record of Sachin Tendulkar. Kohli has it in him to break the record. He should focus on Test cricket after this World Cup, and break this record.
Also, there was a lot of chat about him losing captaincy. I don’t read much into it. I actually think it has freed him up. Why did he start playing? He started his cricket to be like Sachin Tendulkar. He has become like Sachin. Scored loads of runs. Now, he should just continue to score runs for his team and win India more and more games. Losing captaincy is actually good for him as a batter because the pressure of captaincy cripples you.
What next for Virat Kohli?
Virat Kohli, who was last seen in action against West Indies in a three-match ODI series, is currently preparing himself for India's upcoming challenge in Asia Cup 2023 where the 'Men in Blue' face rivals Pakistan.
