We have just witnessed history unfolding before our eyes. India's Virat Kohli has broken the legendary Sachin Tendulkar's record of most centuries in the ODI format.
Tendulkar, who retired from ODI cricket in 2012, smashed 49 hundreds in his career which was the highest for any batter.

Kohli, having just scored his 50th ODI ton against New Zealand, has gone above Sachin.
He could have tied Tendulkar's tally of hundreds in Dharamsala earlier in the World Cup. but got dismissed on 95 runs while trying to hit a six to complete the milestone in the run-chase. He then equalled his record with a stunning century against South Africa in Kolkata.
While Kohli and Sachin are the top two on the list of the batters with most ODI centuries, let us list out a few other names.

After Tendulkar and Kohli, another Indian, Rohit Sharma, features in this list with 31 hundreds. He surpassed Australia's Ricky Ponting recently.
