Though he struggled in the 2015 and 2019 World Cup knockout games, he was terrific in the 2023 World Cup knockouts, cracking a magnificent 117 and 54, in the semi-final against New Zealand, and in the Final against Australia, respectively.

Barring his failure against England during the T20 World Cup 2024 semi-final, Kohli had scored a half-century in every T20 World Cup knockout match he had played in.
Kohli scored 72* and 77 against South Africa and Sri Lanka in 2014, 89* against the West Indies in 2016, and 50 against England in 2022. However, he was dismissed for just 9 runs in the 2024 semi-final.
He has not had the same success in the ICC World Test Championship, however, with his four innings in that competition yielding just 120 runs, with a top score of 49.
