Indian batsman Virat Kohli has just achieved yet another milestone in the ongoing test series against the West Indies. The 34-year-old hit a century in the second test match at the Queen's Park Oval in Trinidad.
Kohli entered the history books for more than one reason. Kohli played his 500th match for India and has engraved his name in the elite list of cricketers having 500 or more appearances for their country. He hit his 29th century in tests, scoring 121 in the first inning. He is now at par with the test centuries of Sir Don Bradman.
Watching Kohli perform at his best, many legends of the game have lauded his achievements and abilities. One of them is West Indies veteran Courtney Walsh.

What did Courtney Walsh say about Virat Kohli?
"Well, as an Indian great, I would rate him just behind Sachin. Sachin is one of the greatest I have seen and played against," Walsh told JioCinema.
The right-arm speedster compared Kohli with the likes of Sachin Tendulkar as the all-time greatest Indian batsman. He also added Kohli to his list of Top 5 batsmen of all time.
"Brain Lara, Viv Richards, I will put them up from a West Indian point of view. Ricky Ponting and Steve Waugh. Two gentlemen I played when I was a youngster, Graham Gooch from England and Javed Miandad, who probably did not play as many games. But the value they put on their wickets reminded me of Virat Kohli as well, he doesn't want to go. So I will definitely have him in my top 4, top 5 greatest cricketers I have seen," he added.

What did Walsh and Kohli speak between them?
Walsh also reminded himself of the chat he had with Virat when the latter was the skipper of the Indian Cricket Team. At the same time, Walsh was a selector in the Windies Cricket Board.
We were having a chat. You could tell that he wants to be the best. He was willing to seek out advice from anyone that will help to do so. I am not surprised by the achievement. The passion he has and the drive he has to be the top 3, top 5 in everything he does," Walsh said in the same interview with Jio Cinema.
