Virat Kohli has carved his name into cricket history as a batsman who performs under pressure. Nowhere is this more evident than in ICC tournament finals, where he has consistently delivered match-winning performances.

He recently played a match-winning knock of 76 runs in the T20 World Cup 2024 final which helped India beat South Africa by seven runs to lift their second T20 world title in history.

Today, at TSN, let's revisit Virat Kohli's three of the most iconic knocks in the ICC finals.

Once again, Kohli stepped up. His well-timed 43 runs provided some much-needed impetus to India's innings, which ended at a modest 129 for 7. This knock was invaluable as India's bowlers defended the target successfully and won against England in the Champions Trophy final.

2024 T20 World Cup final

In the 2024 T20 World Cup final, Kohli once again proved his mettle. Facing South Africa in Barbados, Kohli played a match-winning knock of 76 runs off 59 balls.

Before the final, he had struggled for form, scoring only 75 runs in seven matches. However, in the final, Kohli displayed remarkable composure and skill. His innings helped India set a challenging target and eventually win the match by seven runs.

Kohli was named Player of the Match, and he announced his retirement from T20Is after the victory.

The RCB legend's performances in these finals highlight his ability to rise to the occasion and deliver when it matters most. His contributions in these matches have cemented his reputation as one of the greatest clutch players in cricket history.
