The T20 World Cup has already started. Three days in, there have been some one-sided, but also some scintillating cricketing action on display, from the West Indies and United States.

Any ICC tournament would mean only one thing for most fans around the world - waiting for the most exciting clash in world cricket, India vs Pakistan. 

The Men in Blue will play arch-rivals Pakistan at the Nassau County Cricket International Stadium in New York. Both teams will face each other in their second respective game in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 group stage.

Do India hold a venue advantage over Pakistan in ICC T20 World Cup clash?

Team India could have a supposed advantage over arch-rivals Pakistan for the T20 World Cup 2024 clash in New York. The match will be played at the Nassau County Stadium. 

India played their warm-up match against Bangladesh at the same venue. The Men in Blue beat Bangladesh in an emphatic manner, in the build-up to their World Cup campaign.

Moreover, India will face Ireland in their tournament-opener, also at the same ground. Ahead of the big game against Pakistan, Rohit Sharma & Co. will have a two-match practice at the venue, to be familiar with the weather conditions, the bounce, and turn on the pitch. 

Meanwhile, Pakistan's first match will be hosted in Dallas, and not New York. In addition to being a drop-in pitch, Pakistan will play in New York for the very first time, as they lock horns against India. 

India's two-game advantage (Bangladesh and Ireland) over Pakistan could help them a long way, in their quest to claim bragging rights over their arch-rivals.

What next for India and Pakistan?

India will play their first game at the T20I World Cup against Ireland on June 05, 2024, in New York. 

Meanwhile, the Babar Azam-led side will face co-hosts United States of America in their inaugural game at the World Cup. Pakistan will be in action on June 06, 2024, from the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas.
