New Zealand pacer Tim Southee revealed a fellow cricketer with whom he would swap his life, if he ever got a chance. The Kiwi was present at the 26th CEAT Cricket Awards 2024 in Mumbai, India. The former Chennai Super Kings pacer revealed his heart out in a rapid-fire round at the event.

Tim Southee named MS Dhoni as the one cricketer he would swap his life for a day. In a rendezvous conversation at the event, the 35-year-old was intrigued by the life of the former Indian skipper. Even after five years of his international retirement, Dhoni still lives in the minds of people, both Indians and foreigners.

Tim Southee was a part of the NZ squad that beat India at the 2019 ODI World Cup semi-final. India's loss to New Zealand saw Dhoni play his final International game. MS Dhoni has retired from international cricket but continues to play the IPL (till 2024).

Ahead of the 2025 mega auction, even his IPL future is lingering as Chennai Super Kings look for ways to retain their first-ever buy at the Indian Premier League.
