Australian Test captain Pat Cummins revealed his excitement for the upcoming Border Gavaskar Trophy series in November, later this year, admitting India's dominance in the last few Test series between the two teams.

India had not only beaten the hosts Australia in the last two visits to the country, but also retained the BGT series in 2023 back in India. However, the Aussies arguably had a bigger laugh as they won the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final last year against the Indians.

The upcoming BGT 2024 will feature a five-match Test series between the two teams, starting November 2024 and extending up to the first week of January 2025.

The Indian broadcaster Star Sports had released a clip on the social media platform X (formerly twitter) as a promo for the BGT 2024 in Australia later this year, in which Australian skipper Cummins shared his excitement for the Test series.

"It's been a long time. We played plenty of time against India and they beat us plenty of time. We haven't been successful. Here in Australia, they beat us. India and Australia matches are competitive, always 50-50. I'm 10 out of 10 excited for BGT," Cummins stated.
