The ICC Men's T20 World Cup is all set to return for its ninth edition in 2024. The tournament will be held in the West Indies and USA, across nine different venues from June 1 to June 29. It is the first time that the USA will play host to a major ICC global tournament.

This T20 World Cup will be the biggest tournament yet, with a total of 20 teams participating. Apart from hosts West Indies and USA, the top 8 sides from the previous tournament; Australia, England, India, Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa and Sri Lanka as well as the next two sides in the T20I rankings (Afghanistan and Bangladesh) received automatic qualification.
The teams which made it through the qualifiers in their respective regions are Ireland and Scotland (Europe), Papua New Guinea (East Asia-Pacific), Canada (Americas), Nepal and Oman (Asia), Namibia and Uganda (Africa).

As far as the Men in Blue are concerned, their opponents in the group stage will be co-hosts USA, Ireland, Canada and arch-rivals Pakistan in Group A. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super Eight stage, which will be the minimum expectation from Indian fans of their team.
India's campaign will kick off on Wednesday, June 5 as they take on Ireland in New York in the first of three group games they are scheduled to play there. Their schedule, along with local time and Indian time is as follows.

None of India's group matches are in the West Indies. However, if they make it to the Super Eight stage, all their games will be in the Caribbean. The Caribbean islands span two time zones; UTC -5:00 and UTC -4:00.
However, all West Indian venues for the T20 World Cup fall in the UTC -4:00 zone. Indian Standard Time is UTC +5:30, so the match timing in India will be 9.5 hours ahead of local time.
