T20 cricket is a relatively young form of the game. Having been around for only 20 years or so, it has considerably less history than the Test and ODI formats.

But it has proven extremely popular, and T20 has facilitated the growth of cricket in non-traditional countries to a great extent. By extension, an even shorter format, T10 has emerged in recent years as a more condensed version of the game.
One of the game's stalwarts in T20 is West Indies' Kieron Pollard. His career has been a superb one, with stellar performances both for his country and for various franchise teams across the world. Since retiring from the IPL, Pollard has taken up a role as batting coach for his only team in the competition, Mumbai Indians.

T10 or T20? - Mumbai Indians batting coach Kieron Pollard picks his preferred format
In an interview with RevSportz, Pollard opened up on the differences between T20 and T10, and picked his preferred format among the two. He said,
[In T20] you can take a couple of overs to plan and think about ways of getting a batter out, whereas T10 it's about instincts and having a bit of luck on your side as well with decision-making. So I would say T20, but again this format is an exciting format.
You think on your feet and do things out of the box very quickly. If it works, you look good. If it doesn't, well, come back again tomorrow. So two difficult formats, but I would prefer the T20 format.
Pollard is currently in action in the sixth season of the Abu Dhabi T10 league, representing the New York Strikers alongside the likes of Mohammad Amir, Sunil Narine, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Kusal Perera. The Strikers are fourth in the table after 3 matches, with 2 wins under their belt.
