Mumbai Indians star Suryakumar Yadav's poor ODI form continued in the series against West Indies as the middle order batter was dismissed for just 24 runs in the second ODI on Saturday.

After failing to deliver in the first ODI where he scored 19, Yadav failed to live up to the expectation in the second game as well as Indian batting line-up crumbled and were bowled out for just 181 runs.

What did Rahul Dravid say on Suryakumar Yadav's ODI future?

India coach Rahul Dravid agreed that Yadav's performance in ODIs has not been as good as in the T20 format but the management will continue to back the player in the 50-over format.

Speaking after the second ODI against West Indies, Dravid said

Surya is a really good player, no doubt about it but he would be the first one to admit that he ODI game has not been up to the mark of T20, he is also learning ODI - we want to give him as many opportunities we can & then it's up to him to utilize it.

How has Suryakumar Yadav performed in ODI format?

Since making his debut in 2021 in the ODI format again Sri Lanka, Suryakumar Yadav has appeared in 25 matches thus far where he scored 476 runs at an average of 24.

Unfortunately he has failed to deliver in his last 10 ODI innings as he managed to score just 98 runs.

He had scored three back-to-back golden ducks in the ODI series against Australia in March.
