Pakistan Cricket Team have had a downturn in their fortunes at the ongoing Cricket World Cup in India. After going on a two-match winning streak, the Men in Green are now on a three-match losing streak.

The latest, a shocking defeat against Afghanistan at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Monday. Batting first, Pakistan posted a total of 282, courtesy of half-centuries by Abdullah Shafique (58) and Babar Azam (74). 

Afghanistan's response was something Pakistan wouldn't have seen coming. Afghanistan chased the 283-run target in 49 overs to record a historic win over their neighbours. Rahmanullah Gurbaz (65), Ibrahim Zadran (87), and Rahmat Shah (77) scored half-centuries in the process.

The fans of Pakistan cricket have reacted and slammed their team for performing the way they have.

How did the fans react to Pakistan's loss against Afghanistan?

Pakistan's loss to Afghanistan has brought distraught to the fans and supporters. In fact, some prominent fans wanted the Pakistan team to return from India already.

"PAKISTAN CRICKET IS DEAD! I AM NOT SUPPORTING THIS TEAM ANYMORE. I HAVE HAD ENOUGH 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽", said a fan in agony.

"Maafi me do. Nahi dekhni aisi cricket 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼", a fan reacted having lost all hope on the cricket team.

A fan praised Afghanistan for their composure and took the defeat sportingly.

Afghanistan kept their focus and composure intact even after losing two wickets. This shows intent, hence a well deserved victory 🙌 , he said.

What next for Pakistan?

Pakistan Cricket Team will play their next game against South Africa on Friday, October 27. The match is scheduled at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
