Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will host Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in an Indian Premier League (IPL) clash at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Thursday.
The two sides have met each other 22 times in IPL history, with SRH claiming the bragging rights with 12 wins.
SRH's last game against reigning champions Gujarat Titans (GT) ended in defeat, which quashed any hopes of them qualifying for the playoff round this season. They are currently ninth in the league table and at best can finish eighth at the end of the campaign.
RCB on the other hand still have some hope of qualifying for the playoff rounds after winning their last game against Rajasthan Royals. RCB are currently placed fifth on the leaderboard. They will need to win this clash and their next one to make it to the playoffs.
TSN takes a look at how the rivalry has unfolded over the years between the two IPL franchises.
