SRH blocks David Warner: Australian opener finds out hilariously after Sunrisers splash on Pat Cummins in IPL auction image

IPL 2024 min auction on Tuesday was a day of frenzy.

There were auction records that were broken, and re-broken! First Pat Cummins (INR 20.50 crores), and then Mitchell Starc (24.75 Cr.) broke the all-time IPL record for the most-expensive players.

That's how IPL auction days are, right! But that's not all about today. Interestingly, right after Australian captain Cummins was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad, his compatriot and Delhi Capitals player David Warner was in for a surprise.

Bet here now (selected regions) on the winners of IPL 2024 and other cricket matches!

David Warner had been a poster boy for SRH over the years, and even led the Orange Army to their maiden-and-only IPL trophy till date, in 2016. Warner was a great servant of the Sunrisers Hyderabad before he joined Delhi Capitals ahead of IPL 2022.

Warner, a fan favourite at Hyderabad, was frozen out of the SRH squad at the fag end of his SRH career, due to some issues with the management. He then sought a new home in Delhi Capitals, ahead of IPL 2022. Looks like SRH still bear a grudge.

Did Sunrisers Hyderabad block David Warner from Instagram and Twitter (now, X)?

Apparently, Sunrisers Hyderabad have blocked David Warner from accessing their Instagram and X posts.

On the day of the IPL 2024 mini auction, the former SRH skipper took his estrangement with the franchise to social media. Sunrisers Hyderabad happened to acquire the services of two Aussie friends of the former SRH captain.

Sunrisers bought Travis Head for a sum of INR 6.80 Crores. Later on, they also broke the then IPL record of the most-expensive player in the history of the league. The Orange Army acquired Australian skipper Pat Cummins for a whopping money of INR 20.50 Crores.

To celebrate his share of joy, David Warner tried to share the posts and stories of Pat Cummins and Travis Head. Alas, he wasn't able to. As it turned out, Sunrisers Hyderabad had blocked David Warner from accessing their social media platforms, be it Instagram, or X (formerly, Twitter).
