Despite the victory, former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik had strong words for the team. Speaking on Ten Sports Pakistan after the match, Malik accused some players of focusing more on their personal averages than on helping the team make it to the Super 8 stage. He said, "Play for the team...you have to give the best possible chance for the team to qualify for the Super 8."

Malik highlighted the need for players to adapt to conditions and play for the team's success. He noted, "You need to take chances when conditions are easy...Rizwan made 50, well played, but the team requires something else from you."

How did Pakistan perform against Canada?

Pakistan's bowlers set up the win by restricting Canada to 106 for 7. Aaron Johnson's 44-ball 52 was the highlight of Canada's innings. In response, Pakistan's top order struggled initially, with Saim Ayub falling early. However, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan steadied the ship with a 63-run partnership.

What next for Pakistan at T20 World Cup?

With Pakistan's win against Canada, they now have a chance to progress in the tournament. Malik's comments serve as a reminder for the team to focus on collective success rather than individual performances. As the tournament continues, the pressure is on for Pakistan to deliver consistent and team-focused performances.
