Babar Azam reached a significant milestone, playing for Peshawar Zalmi against Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League on Wednesday.
He became the 13th player to score 10000 T20 runs, and the fastest to do so in just 271 innings. Babar made his T20 debut in December 2012, playing as an off-spinner for Lahore Eagles against Hyderabad Hawks. His journey from there, to one of the greatest batters of his generation, has been extraordinary.
