India and Pakistan is one of the greatest cricket rivalries in history, with high-intensity encounters to be expected whenever the two teams come face to face, including the Asia Cup which will be held in September 2023.
The rivalry has expanded to small rivalries between the players from both sides often going at it at a one-to-one level as well, with Virat Kohli and Babar Azam's being the most recent.
However, there's great respect and camaraderie too between players from both cricketing nations. Recently, former India batsman Virender Sehwag was full of praise for Pakistan legend Inzamam-ul-Haq.

Sehwag calls Inzamam-ul-Haq Asia's best middle-order batsman
Speaking to Breakfast with Champions, Sehwag said that while his former teammate and batting legend Sachin Tendulkar gets a lot of plaudits, it's the former Pakistan captain whom he considers the best middle-order batsman, adding that he was also one of the most fearless players who won't let seemingly impossible situations get to him.
"Everyone talks about Sachin Tendulkar but Inzamam-Ul-Haq is Asia’s biggest middle-order batsman. See Tendulkar was above the league of batsmen. So he doesn’t count. But when it comes to the most superior-middle order batsman across India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, I have never seen anyone better than him (Inzi). In that era – 2003-04 – he used to talk about scoring 8 an over. He would say, ‘don’t worry. We’ll score easily’. 80 required in 10 overs, any other players would panic but he was always confident," remarked Sehwag
