Indian wicketkeeper batsman and Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson once again failed to live up to the expectations as he was dismissed for just nine runs in 19 balls in the second ODI between India and West Indies.
After failing to make it to the starting lineup in the first match of the series, Samson was included in the playing eleven in the second ODI.

With Rishabh Pant likely to miss out on playing the 2023 ODI World Cup in India, Samson is one of the contenders along with Ishan Kishan to make it to the World Cup squad as a wicketkeeper batsman.
On a day his close competitor Kishan scored a half-century (55), Samson could not even reach a double digit score.
How has Sanju Samson perform in ODIs for India?
Sanju Samson made his ODI debut for India in 2021 against Sri Lanka and played his first match on July 23.
He went on to appear in 12 matches thus far in the 50-over format where he scored 339 runs at an average of 56.50.
While he is yet score a century in ODIs, he has hit two half centuries. His highest score of 86 not out came against South Africa in 2022.

What next for Sanju Samson?
With Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli likely to return to the starting lineup for the final ODI of the series on August 1, Samson is likely to be dropped from playing XI.
