Rajasthan Royals (RR) host Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in a crucial Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Thursday, April 27.
RR have lost their last two matches and are hoping to get back to winning ways in the home tie.
They face a stiff challenge against CSK, who are currently at the top of the IPL standings with 10 points from seven matches. Meanwhile, Royal are placed third with eight points from seven matches. A win against CSK can help them leapfrog Gujarat Titans (GT) to second position on the leaderboard.
RR's bowling unit comprising of the experienced Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravichandran Ashwin and Sandeep Sharma have done well. The team is still waiting for Trent Boult to be completely fit and firing.
The Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led CSK are high on confidence as they are on a three-match winning run.
The two teams have met each other on 27 occasions in the past with RR winning 12 times and CSK edging them out with 15 victories.

The concept was trialled in the BCCI domestic competition and was widely praised.
The IPL has confirmed that the impact substitute must come from a list of four players, as confirmed before the toss.
Substitutions can be made either before the start of an innings; at the end of the over; at the fall of a wicket or when a batter retires.

Once replaced, the substituted player can take no further part in the match, not even field.
The substitute could replace any player from the starting XI at any point before the end of the 14th over of either innings, and was allowed to bat and bowl his full quota of overs.
In the IPL, teams are permitted to field a maximum of four overseas players per match, meaning if four overseas players are named in the starting XI, the replacement player must be Indian.
The 'impact player' rule should offer greater tactical freedom than other systems that have been used previously in India and abroad, with the BBL scrapping their X-factor sub prior to the 2022/23 season.
