Former India international Mohammad Kaif has alarmed visitors Bangladesh ahead of the upcoming Test series against Rohit Sharma and Co. India are set to host their neighbours in a two-match Test series, as a part of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 cycle.

The two teams will then play a three-match T20I series to cap off the tour. That being said, Bangladesh are now touted to be the one to break India's Test resilience at home, after a successful tour in Pakistan, earlier this month.

43-year-old former Indian batter, Mohammad Kaif has tweeted his thoughts ahead of the inaugural Test in Chennai. He has reminded the doubters of India's magnificence at home, and the conditions that Bangladesh have to play under.

Mohammad Kaif warns Bangladesh ahead of the India Test series?

Bangladesh are on the back of a historic 2-0 Test series win over Pakistan and understandably will be high on confidence ahead of facing the Indian side.

However, former cricketer Kaif has issued a warning that playing against India will not be a pleasant experience for the Bangla Tigers, as he wrote, on X, "Bangladesh might have won in Pakistan but India is at a different level. Rohit Sharma's team has Virat Kohli, Bumrah and is united. Tough to beat them at home for anyone."

When did Virat Kohli made his last Test appearance?

Virat Kohli missed out on the home Test series against England due to paternity leave. His last Test appearance came away in South Africa in the second Test which lasted just two days.

The Delhi-born batter scored 46 and 12 runs in the two innings in Cape Town, as India beat the hosts by 7 wickets. 

When is India's 1st Test against Bangladesh?

The Indian team will be in action very soon, after a lengthy month-long break. The Men in Blue host neighbours Bangladesh for a two-match Test series, followed by a bilateral T20I series. 

The first of the two Tests will be played at the Chepauk, between September 19 to September 23, 2024.
