What is Rohit Sharma's record in IPL Playoffs? image

Rohit Sharma is one of the finest Indian T20 cricketers in history and is also the captain of the most successful Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, Mumbai Indians (MI).

The 36-year-old became only the second player after Virat Kohli to score 5,000 IPL runs for a single team after he scored a fluent 56 off just 37 balls in MI's victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) that sealed their passage to the IPL playoffs.

Rohit has led MI to five IPL titles and was first handed the captaincy midway during the 2013 season after a poor start under Sachin Tendulkar, who retired that year.

'The Hitman' won MI their first IPL title in his first season as a captain in 2013 and remained the permanent captain of the franchise ever since,

The commentators and cricket experts didn't consider MI to be one of the favourites for this year's IPL, and understandably so. The team was supposed to miss Jasprit Bumrah's services and failed to sign any world-class bowler in the auction. Jofra Archer's availability was also uncertain.

However, after losing the first two games, Rohit & Co. have stormed back to win eight of their next 12 games to make it to the playoffs.

In IPL 2023, Rohit hasn't been at his best, scoring 324 runs in 15 innings at a strike rate of 133.33.

How many runs has Rohit Sharma scored in IPL Playoffs?

Rohit Sharma is one of most capped players in IPL, as well as among the highest run-getters.

He has won the IPL six times, the only player in IPL history with that record. He won his first IPL as a player with the now-defunct Deccan Chargers in 2009.

While he has an impeccable win record in finals (W6, L1), he hasn't done much with the bat. In 21 innings, Rohit has scored only 316 runs at an average of 14.00 and an extremely poor strike rate of 104.2.
