The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also posted images of Rohit practicing in the nets. However, eagle-eyed fans quickly noticed a discrepancy between the two sets of images, which has led to speculation and debate.

The image has sparked widespread discussion online, with fans questioning whether the cricket star might have edited his photos to appear slimer and fitter.

How did the fans react to the image?

The comparison went viral on social media. Many fans mocked the discrepancy and soon after, the cricketer deleted the images from his social media.

It is apparent that fans believe Rohit edited his image to appear thinner. The BCCI's photo showed a bulkier body, while Rohit's post depicted a more streamlined physique. The alteration is noticeable in his right arm, which looked weirdly curved and digitally manipulated.

India's tour of Sri Lanka began on July 27 with a T20I series. The Indian team won all three T20I matches in the series, with the third T20I being a thrilling super over finish.

India will now be  playing a 3 match ODI series against Sri Lanka. The series will commence on August 3 with the first match in Colombo.
