Michael Vaughan took to social media after India’s dominating performance against Bangladesh and made a cheeky comment comparing their approach to England’s aggressive style, famously known as 'Bazball.'
This came after India’s batsmen completely dismantled the Bangladeshi bowling attack on Day 4 of the ongoing Test match in Kanpur. With India looking for a result due to two washed-out days, their ultra-aggressive batting style left fans stunned.

But instead of calling it a copy of England's 'Bazball', fans came up with their own term - ‘Ro-Ball’- to describe India’s thrilling display.
What triggered Michael Vaughan’s ‘Bazball’ comment?
After being bundled out for 233 in their first innings, Bangladesh faced a flurry of boundaries and sixes from the Indian batsmen, starting right from the very first over.
Yashasvi Jaiswal set the tone with three boundaries in the opening over, while Rohit Sharma followed it up by hitting two back-to-back sixes in the second over, pushing India’s score past 50 in just 3 overs. This marked the fastest 50 ever recorded in Test cricket.

Michael Vaughan couldn’t help but notice the aggressive batting and made a reference to England’s ‘Bazball’ approach on his social media account, humorously stating, “I see India are playing Bazball.”
How did fans react to Vaughan’s Bazball remark?
The response to Vaughan’s tweet was immediate. This sparked a response from Indian cricket fans who were quick to coin a new term to describe India’s dominant style.

This Bazball is enjoyable for me only when there's a sane reason behind it, not for the sake of “ohh we need to make Test cricket interesting”

BazBall is a copycat product of ViruBall and PantBall which was destroyed and finished by JaisBall in January 2024.
