Riyan Parag has once again grabbed the limelight as he etched his name in the history books of Indian domestic cricket after slamming the second-fastest century in the history of the Ranji Trophy on Monday.
Parag crossed the 100-run mark in just 56 balls, making him the second-fastest to do so. Indian wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant currently holds the record of registering the fastest century in the history of the competition.
But despite the Rajasthan Royals star's efforts, Assam lost the match to Chattisgarh as their batters chased down a meager target of 87 on the final day, winning the game by 10 wickets.
