Reigning IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) explosive finisher, Rinku Singh will be one of the main attractions at the IPL 2025 mega auction in the scenario wherein he is not retained by the KKR 2025 season.
Rinku made a name for himself in the 2023 IPL season which also proved to be his breakout season. Rinku’s best performance of that season came against the Gujarat Titans (GT) as he smashed five continuous maximums when KKR required a nigh impossible task of scoring 28 runs in the last five deliveries to win the game.

Which IPL team would Rinku Singh like to play for?
Talking to Sports Tak, Rinku revealed that he would like to play for the three-time finalists Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) if he does leave KKR. The main reason that the left-hander would like to head to Bengaluru is the presence of Indian talisman Virat Kohli.
Rinku has always been a fan of the former RCB skipper and was even spotted a few times asking for the 35-year-old cricketer’s bat. Although Kohli seemed to be hesitant at first, he did gift a new bat to the KKR finisher.
When asked where he would like to play, Rinku stated “RCB because Virat Kohli is there,” which is a clear sign of his adoration for the star batter.
Rinku was dropped from the Duleep Trophy squads despite his massive success in the IPL. Although he was a bit saddened by the news, Rinku accepted the snub in a very positive manner, not letting his confidence go down even a bit, showcasing his strong and resilient approach towards the game.
I didn’t do well. I actually didn’t play as many Ranji Trophy matches too; I played only 2-3 matches and didn’t perform well. That is why I wasn’t selected. I hope in the upcoming games, I will be selected
If Rinku does manage to go to RCB, the franchise would indeed bag a stunning finisher. His partnership with Kohli could be a key aspect in RCB’s hopes of winning their maiden IPL title.
