Four-time IPL champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Virat Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are among the top three sporting teams in the world with the most social media engagement in the month of April.

While RCB recorded 303m engagement, CSK managed a tally of 301m. The only team that is above the two Indian teams are Spanish football giants Real Madrid who had a 333m engagement on social media.

Recently, former RCB skipper Virat Kohli, who is the most followed Indian on Instagram, became the first-ever Asian personality to cross 250 million followers on the social media platform.

Who have CSK and RCB performed in IPL 2023?

While RCB failed to progress to the play-offs after finishing the league stage in the sixth position, CSK finished second in the league and then beat GT in Qualifier 1 to reach the IPL final for a record 10th team.

They will face the winner of GT versus MI in the final on May 28 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
