Pakistan is set to host the returning edition of the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025. The tournament is set to kick off from mid-February to March 2025. The PCB have even submitted the draft and schedule to host the competition.
The Champions Trophy marks its return after a gap of eight years. Pakistan won the latest edition of the tournament in 2017, defeating arch-rivals India in the Final.

However, since Pakistan will be hosting the tournament in mid-February and March, they will be forced to postpone the commencement of the tenth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), creating problems of its own.
If the PSL is postponed even by a month, it will clash with the schedule of the 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Since the IPL is by far the richest and the most engaging league in the world, PSL risks a loss of viewership and sponsorship deals along with the availability of top-flight players, since they would rather opt to participate in the IPL.
The PCB for now have made a schedule to organize PSL 10 from April 10 to May 25. Nevertheless, a final call regarding the same is still to be made.
