Virat Kohli, who topscored in the World Cup with 765 runs, was named the Player of the Tournament.
Cricket legend Matthew Hayden had named Rohit Sharma as his choice for the POTT award, as the Indian opener has been playing a different brand of cricket with the bat at the top of the innings which sets the tone of the innings.
Meanwhile, Adam Zampa's all-round role in Australia's road to the final had put him in contention for the POTT award. He had 23 wickets to his name.
