The Pakistan women's cricket team is currently undergoing a training camp in Multan ahead of their T20I series against South Africa.
However, a noticeable change in the allowance policy has sparked discussion: the team members are not receiving daily allowances during this camp.
This decision marks a departure from previous practices and differs from the support extended to the men's national team.

Why is the PCB not paying daily allowances?
Traditionally, the PCB provided daily allowances to players during training camps, including for the women’s team. As per CricInfo, this practice has now shifted as the PCB has decided not to offer these allowances at the current camp.
Instead, the board is providing full accommodation and three meals daily, which were not included in past arrangements. According to PCB policy, if comprehensive lodging and meal provisions are in place, daily allowances are not considered necessary.
This new approach has led to dissatisfaction among players who feel that merely covering basic needs is insufficient given their time away from home.

Did the Pakistan Men's team receive allowances?
In contrast to the women’s team, the men's squad generally receives daily allowances on top of provided accommodation and meals during their training camps.
For example, players preparing for the Test series against Bangladesh recently benefited from both allowances and accommodation, although not all meals were provided free of charge.
