Pakistan Cricket Board chief Mohsin Naqvi is confident about India's visit to Pakistan for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025. India are yet to give the green-light to travel across the border for the ICC event, scheduled in February 2025.
India have cut their sporting ties with Pakistan over political disputes with their neighbours for the past decade. The two countries clash only at ICC events or during continental tournaments, like the Asia Cup.
Talking about the Asia Cup, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had earlier refused to permit the Indian team to travel to Pakistan for the 2023 edition. The Men in Blue played all their matches in Sri Lanka (hybrid model), including the knockouts and the final.
Meanwhile the same year, Pakistan visited India to participate in the ODI World Cup 2023, soon after the Asia Cup. As a result, the PCB chairman expects India to travel to Pakistan for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy.
