The ODI World Cup 2023 scheduling mess is not clearing up any sooner.

Now, the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) wants the Pakistan-New Zealand warm-up fixture to be moved out of the city.

The Indian Express has learnt that the HCA has requested the Board of Control from Cricket in India (BCCI) to reconsider their decision of giving the hosting rights to them for Pakistan versus New Zealand warm-up clash.

The lack of availability of security arrangements is said to be the reason for their appeal as festivals Ganesh Visarjan and Milad-un-Nabi are on September 28, while the match in question is scheduled a day after.

HCA again requests for schedule change

Moreover, the HCA has also said that they will not be able to host one of two matches, planned on October 9 and 10. They again have sent an email to the BCCI, explaining the same.

The October 10 game is between Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The Hyderabad Police has conveyed to the HCA that they will not be able to provide security for the October 9 match, which is between New Zealand and Netherlands, as the Pakistan game only will require large number of police personnel.
