Skipper Babar Azam spoke about Pakistan's performance against India at the ODI World Cup 2023. Azam lauded his men for their effort against arch-rivals.

In what ended as a one-sided victory for Team India, Azam still had only positives to take. India won the game by 8 wickets, with 117 deliveries to spare.

Batting first, Pakistan were bundled for 191 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. In a collective effort from the bowling unit, India's Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, and Mohammad Siraj picked two wickets each. 

In response, skipper Rohit Sharma played a captain's innings, of 83 runs from just 62 deliveries. He was ably partnered by Shreyas Iyer, who remained unbeaten on 53.

Final Result: India won the game by 7 wickets

What did Babar Azam comment about Pakistan's performance vs India in 2023 ODI World Cup?

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam spoke about his side's effort against India at the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. They were beaten atrociously by their arch-rivals, but the Pakistan skipper only spoke highly of their effort in the game.

Azam also reminded the media about how their fans praised the effort put in by his team, on a night when nothing favoured them.
