Pakistan announces playing XI for 2nd Test vs England

Pakistan made some bold decisions for the second Test. Babar Azam, one of Pakistan's top batsmen, was dropped after a poor performance in the first Test.

Kamran Ghulam, a young talent, has been brought in to replace him. In addition to Babar, fast bowlers Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah have also been rested, leaving Aamer Jamal as the only pacer in the team.

Pakistan have opted for a spin-heavy bowling attack for the Multan pitch, which is expected to assist spinners. Noman Ali has been included in place of Abrar Ahmed, while Sajid Khan and Zahid Mahmood retain their spots in the XI.

The top order remains mostly unchanged. Saim Ayub, who struggled in the first Test, keeps his spot as an opener alongside Abdullah Shafique, who scored a century in the first innings of the last match. Captain Shan Masood, who played a brilliant 151 in the previous game, will bat at number three.
