Pakistan were unceremoniously ousted from the T20 World Cup 2024 after they failed to qualify for the Super 8 stage as they finished third in their group behind rivals India and co-hosts USA.
The South Asian giants lost their opening two games against the US and India which spoiled their party in the competition and led to their early exit.
With the team's journey coming to an end, newly appointed head coach Gary Kirsten reportedly made a scathing analysis of the team.
On April 28, the PCB announced the appointment of the World Cup-winning former India coach Kirsten as Pakistan's new boss and he joined the team ahead of the 2024 T20 World Cup.

What did Gary Kirsten say about the Pakistan Cricket Team?
According to Geo Super TV, the South African confronted his players in the dressing room after their exit from the World Cup where he reportedly questioned the fitness levels of some of the players of the squad.
He also openly said that the team lacks in skillsets compared to the top teams in the world. He even questioned the unity of the squad as he revealed his observation that the entire dressing room is divided.

Journalist Ihtisham Ul Haq quoted the coach saying,
There’s no unity in Pakistan’s team, They call it a team, but it isn’t a team. They aren’t supporting each other; everyone is separated, left and right. I’ve worked with many teams, but I’ve never seen such a situation.

Kirsten, however, has refuted the claims he ever made such a statement. Journalist Faizal Lakhani posted a screenshot of his chat with the Pakistan coach where the Protean can be seen rejecting claims of making any such statement.

The Pakistanis will be back in action in August as they are set to host Bangladesh in a two-match Test series.
