Pakistan's star batsman, Babar Azam, is going through a tough time in Test cricket. Once known for his consistency and ability to score big, Babar's recent performances have raised concerns.
Despite his impressive record in domestic cricket, he hasn't been able to carry that form into the international arena. His struggles, especially in Test matches, are becoming more evident as he has now gone 14 innings without scoring a fifty.

Between 2015 and 2022, Babar was one of the top batsmen in the world, scoring over 11,000 runs at an average above 50. His recent performances have been far from those standards.
This decline in form has coincided with Pakistan’s struggles across all formats, including poor performances in the 2023 ODI World Cup and the T20 World Cup.

Babar Azam's another setback against Bangladesh
In the recent Test match against Bangladesh, Babar Azam had another disappointing innings. After being dropped on his first ball by Litton Das, he managed to score 22 runs off 50 balls.
His innings was cut short by a delivery from Nahid Rana that led to another failure. In the first innings, Babar was dismissed for a duck, further highlighting his current struggles.
Babar’s struggles are not new. His last Test duck before this series was in 2021, and although he has scored four centuries since then, most of them were on home soil.
Now, with 14 innings without a fifty, questions are being raised about his ability to lead Pakistan’s batting line-up, especially in challenging conditions.
To help Pakistan regain their winning ways, Babar Azam needs to rediscover his form and confidence. With the support of his team and coaching staff, Babar has the potential to return to his best form and continue his journey as one of Pakistan’s top batsmen.
