Mujeeb-Ur-Rahman stole the limelight with an incredible performance in the ongoing Cricket World Cup, picking up three crucial wickets to break the spine of England's batting order, and steer Afghanistan to a memorable win by 69 runs on Sunday evening at the run Jaitley stadium in Delhi.

Joe Root, Harry Brook, and Chris Woakes were dismissed with three variations and therein lies Mujeeb's mystery. While Root was bowled by his off-spin, Brook failed to read the carrom ball, whereas Woakes was outfoxed by the googly. His unpredictability makes him a champion spinner.

What is more significant is that he has learnt the tricks of the trade not from a formal coach but by watching YouTube videos of legendary spinners.

“My first coach is Youtube. I learnt the carrom ball by watching Ashwin, Narine and Mendis bowling it. Then I would try those a thousand times at home or when playing with my friends. Then I began to experiment with different grips and different releases, and automatically mastered the variations,” he revealed in a Brisbane Heats video.
