The legendary Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be leading Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for the 200th time against Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Wednesday.
Dhoni has played 213 matches as captain in IPL, out of which he has led CSK in 199 games, the rest with now-defunct Rising Pune Supergiants.
After starting their 2023 IPL campaign with a defeat against Gujarat Titans, the Yellow Army has bounced back with two successive wins against Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians.

What did Ravindra Jadeja say about Dhoni's 200th match as CSK captain?
Ravindra Jadeja wants to make the occasion memorable by winning the match against RR.
"Hopefully, we will win the game tomorrow and give it as a gift to him on his 200th match as captain. Hope to continue the momentum of how we have played in the last two games,” he told reporters before the match.

What is Dhoni's record as a captain in the IPL?
Dhoni has an enviable record as a captain in the IPL as he has led CSK to a record nine finals and won four of them (2010, 2011, 2018, 2021).
The former India international has scored the second most runs (4482) in IPL and remains only behind Virat Kohli (4881) who no longer leads the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
Out of the 213 matches he has led, Dhoni has won 125 of them, lost 87 while one ended with no result and boasts of having the best win percentage (58.96%) in the history of the tournament.
