Virat Kohli scored his eighth Indian Premier League (IPL) century against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Saturday, April 6. 

It was also the first century of the 2024 edition of IPL, and it came from the bat of the player who has scored the most centuries in the history of the tournament.

Which player has scored the most centuries in T20 history?

Chris Gayle holds the record of scoring the most centuries ever in T20 cricket, scoring 22 centuries in 455 innings. He is followed by Pakistan batsman Babar Azam, who has 11 centuries in 280 innings.

Virat Kohli is in third place with nine T20 centuries (8 for RCB, 1 for India) in 364 innings.
