One of the many records broken during the clash at Saint Lucia happened when Nicholas Pooran helped the West Indies score 36 runs in the fourth over off Afghanistan's Azmatullah Omarzai. Pooran scored 26 runs himself while the rest of the runs came via extras.

36 runs by Pooran and West Indies is the joint-highest runs scored in an over by a team in T20 internationals. The Sporting News lists the most runs scored in an over, in T20 internationals history.
