Mumbai Indians (MI) are set to welcome champions elect Gujarat Titans (GT) in round 12 of the league phase Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023.
GT made their IPL debut in 2022 and have faced MI just twice in the two seasons, with each side winning one game apiece.
The two teams met earlier this season in what was billed as a monumental encounter. GT dominated MI and registered a 55-run win over the five-time IPL champions.
The hosts come into this game on the back of one of the most mesmerising run chases in this year's IPL, chasing down Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) target of 200 in just 16.3 overs. They sit in fourth position, level on points with Rajasthan Royals (RR), although they have a game in hand.
The visitors, meanwhile, look like the team to beat this year, sitting at the top of the IPL standings with 16 points from 11 games, registering eight wins. The Titans come into this game on the back of two consecutive victories, both of them ending in one-sided victories for the Titans.
TSN takes a look at the head-to-head record of the two IPL franchises.
