Mumbai Indians (MI) will host Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in match 12 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
This is a marquee clash between two most successful franchises in IPL history. The rivalry between the two franchises is storied and this is one of the most high-profile games in the tournament.
MI head into this fixture on the back of a crushing defeat against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and will look to turn around their fortunes.
Their top order had a bad day at the office with their first four batsmen going back to the pavilion with just 48 on the board. Skipper Rohit Sharma scored just one of 10 balls and would hope to get some runs at his own backyard.

CSK, on the other hand, won an edge-of-a-seat thriller against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 12 runs. After posting 217, courtesy of a splendid opening partnership between Ruturaj Gaikwad (57) and Devon Conway (47), their bowlers did the rest to guide them home on a flat batting track.
Moeen Ali was their star performer with the ball as he ended with four scalps at the expense of just 26 runs.
The Wankhede pitch generally does have something for the spinners and CSK would be looking to make the most of their slowers including Ali, Mitchell Santner, and Ravindra Jadeja.
These two teams met 34 times so far in IPL history with MI winning 20 and CSK on 14 other occasions.
