The inaugural edition of the Madhya Pradesh League 2024 got underway on Saturday at the Gwalior International Cricket Stadium.
The fourth match of the season saw Venkatesh Iyer's Gwalior Cheetahs take on Bhopal Leopards, with Cheetahs emerging victorious in Gwalior.

What happened in the match between Gwalior Cheetahs and Bhopal Leopards?
Batting first, Leopards posted a formidable total of 183/9 in their 20 overs, courtesy of a 25-ball 52 from Aniket Verma. Ashwin Das bowled a match-changing over, picking up 3 wickets, and also conceding 13 runs. Ankit Singh Kushwah bagged two to his name.
While chasing, the rain gods decided to interrupt the game, as Cheetahs managed to tie the game as per D/L method. Shivang Kumar was the top-scorer, with 24 off 18. Skipper Venkatesh Iyer also played a blistering knock of 15 runs off just five balls. Cheetahs scored 80/5 in eight overs, taking the game to the super over.
Gwalior Cheetahs secured their maiden win of the campaign, after beating Bhopal Leopards by four runs in the super over. Chasing 17, Leopards only scored 12 in the super over.

When do the Leopards and Cheetahs play next in the MP League 2024?
Gwalior Cheetahs will be next seen in action tomorrow, on June 18 against Rewa Jaguars. Bhopal Leopards will face Jaguars too, on June 19. Both matches will be played at the Gwalior International Cricket Stadium.
