Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) welcome Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for their second encounter of this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
The Ekana Cricket Stadium project was commissioned in 2014, with the stadium opening in 2017. It has a seating capacity of 50,000, the fifth-highest of all international cricket stadiums in India.
LSG and CSK have met only twice in the IPL, with both teams winning one game each.
The hosts come into this game on the back of three losses in their last five IPL games, with all three defeats coming at the Ekana Cricket Stadium, with the previous two against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Gujarat Titans (GT) especially painful as they failed to chase down targets of 127 and 136 respectively. However, they still sit in third place in the standings having bagged 10 points.
