Latest injury updates on Jasprit Bumrah, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant and more image

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has provided an update on the condition injured players like Jasprit Bumrah, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul and Prasidh Krishna.

Bumrah has been sidelined since last September due to a back problem while Rishabh Pant suffered a horrific accident in December last year. Shreyas Iyer picked up a back injury during the Border-Gavaskar series in March while Prasidh Krishna has remained out of action since before the start of the IPL 2023. KL Rahul suffered a hamstring during the IPL which kept him out of action to date.

On Friday, the apex body of Indian cricket, provided an update on the current status of the cricketers.

When will Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna play next for Indian cricket team?

Providing an update on the two fast bowlers, BCCI said,

The two fast bowlers are in the final stages of their rehab and are bowling with full intensity in the nets. The duo will now play some practice games, which the NCA will organise. The BCCI Medical Team is pleased with their progress and will make a final decision after assessing them following the practice games.

When will KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer play next for Indian cricket team?

Rahul and Iyer are progressing well and BCCI plans to increase the intensity in their training sessions soon.

They have resumed batting in the nets and are currently undergoing strength and fitness drills. The BCCI Medical Team is satisfied with their progress and will increase their intensity in terms of both skills and strength and conditioning in the coming days.

When will Rishabh Pant play next for Indian cricket team?

Pant too is making progress in rehabilitation and has started batting and keeping.

He has made significant progress in his rehabilitation and has commenced batting as well as keeping in the nets. He is currently following a fitness programme designed for him which includes strength, flexibility and running.

What next for Indian cricket team?

The Indian cricket team is currently touring West Indies for two-match Test series, three-match ODI and five-match T20I series.

They will next tour Ireland for a three-match T20I series where Bumrah is likely to be included.
