India will soon take on Australia in the World Test Championship (WTC) Final which is set to be played at The Oval in England, London from June 7 to June 11.
There is much discussion on who will India utilise more, their spinners or their pace bowlers. During the last WTC Final against New Zealand in 2021, India's decision to rely on spinners came back to bite them, hence with many people including the likes of former India selector MSK Prasad hoping they don't repeat the same mistake.
It must be noted that India's premier spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja have been the major reason behind India's enviable record at home in the last decade. But their pacers, notably Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami, have been lethal away from home too.
Former South Africa Lance Klusener who has recently become a consultant at Tripura Cricket Association (TCA) credited India's pacers for their success in Test cricket.

Klusener: Pacers key to India's Test success
The former South Africa bowler stated that India's pace attack has grown considerably over the last few years which has also seen India succeed in Test cricket. He further added that India's pacers can play on any surface which can give them a big advantage over other sides.
"But the way the Indian seamers have developed in the last couple of years, (sic) that’s why they play in the WTC, that’s why they are one of the best Test sides in the world. They have the attack that can play on any surface. Teams in the past would prepare green-top (tracks) so that India won’t be able to compete, but that’s not the case anymore. I think they are now well equipped, whatever the conditions, they will be able to pick the team that will be competitive," said Klusener.
