'Back-to-back 100s' - Kohli overtakes Gayle to become player with most IPL centuries

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) took on Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Indian Premier League on Sunday in a must-win crucial game which could take them to the next round of the tournament.

While the home side came up short with GT winning by six wickets in the final over, RCB batsman and vice-captain Virat Kohli once again came through for the home side with his second consecutive century, scoring a knock of 101*(61) to help them put up a total of 197 runs in the first innings which gave them some hope of making it to the IPL 2023 Playoffs.

Kohli becomes player with the most IPL centuries

The century against GT was Kohli's seventh IPL century, which saw him overtake former RCB teammate Chris Gayle to become the player with the most IPL centuries, thus further cementing his legacy in the tournament.
