Indian Cricketer KL Rahul has announced an auction of collectable items, with proceeds going towards noble and charitable causes. Along with wife Athiya Shetty, the 32-year-old would make a huge contribution towards the society, as used items of fellow cricketers are set to go under the hammer, later this month. 

Called ‘Cricket for a Cause', the auction aims to support the Vipla Foundation. The NGO aims to build and provide a learning environment for women and children. Vipla Foundation is a Mumbai-based organisation, working for child and women's safety, alongside providing them a holistic experience to grow. 

As the celebrity couple strive towards doing their bits as responsible citizens of the society, here is everything you need to know about the auction scheduled for late August.

The KL Rahul-organised auction event, 'Cricket for a Cause', will take place on August 23, 2024.

'Cricket for a Cause' will be held in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Vipla Foundation, formerly called as 'Save the Children India', is primarily based out of Mumbai.

What are some of the items to be auctioned at KL Rahul's 'Cricket for a Cause' event?

A total of 27 collectable items will go under the hammer on August 23 in Mumbai. Some of the items are listed below:

  • MS Dhoni's Bat: Base Price of 3.5 Lacs
  • Rohit Sharma's Bat: Base Price of 3.5 Lacs
  • Rahul Dravid's Bat: Base Price of 3.5 Lacs
  • KL Rahul's Jersey: Base Price of 1 Lac
  • Virat Kohli's Gloves: Base Price of 50 Thousand
  • Jasprit Bumrah's Jersey: Base Price of 50 Thousand
  • KL Rahul's Helmet: Base Price of 50 Thousand

Apart from these above-listed memorabilia, the auction will consist of collectable items of various other Indian and overseas international stars like Ravichandran Ashwin, Shreyas Iyer, Yuzvendra Chahal, Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson, Ravindra Jadeja, Jos Buttler, Quinton de Kock, Marcus Stoinis, and Nicholas Pooran.
