India were put in to bat, but managed just 245 in their first innings. KL Rahul was the lone warrior for the visiors, as he scored a gritty 101. The hosts then took over, securing a 163-run lead thanks to Dean Elgar (185) and Marco Jansen (84*).

South Africa then ensured the match did not enter Day 4, as they made light work of the Indian batting in the third innings, skittling them for just 131 to secure an innings victory. Again, only one Indian put up a brave resistance; Virat Kohli, who scored 76.

'It's like a movie, like a thriller' - Mpho Rabada on his son's rivalry with Virat Kohli

The wrecker-in-chief for South Africa with the ball was pacer Kagiso Rabada, who broke the back of the Indian line-up in the first innings with 5/59 including the wickets of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer. Rabada also dismissed Rohit in the second innings, and took a superb catch to take Kohli's wicket and end the match.

The bowler's father, Dr Mpho Rabada, was in attendance at SuperSport Park and spoke to Ray Sportz on the rivalry between his son and Virat Kohli. He said,

When Virat hit a good stroke, I applaud because that's cricket. You want the best to face the best, and cricket wins. So every time I think there is Virat, Kagiso, it's exciting, you know, what's going to happen; is he going to hit a six, is he going to be bowled out, is he going to be caught out?

It's like a movie, like a thriller, it makes watching very very good. And even if Virat hits him for six, we clap because that's good cricket. But we know that, next time we'll get him (laughs).

Dr Rabada caught the eye during the recently-concluded World Cup in India, where he was spotted in the stands during South Africa's matches, cheering on his son and his country. He also has a YouTube channel focused on music, and supports the Indian cricket team when they are not playing against South Africa.
